Amber Hahn has a special interest in and affinity to sensitive surfaces whether they be glass or photography, or the desert, or a lake or skin. She has received four awards since winning the Nicholas and Andrei Tooth Travelling Scholarship (2018) from Goldsmiths upon graduating. Hahn has undertaken residencies at the Center for Land Use Interpretation, Utah (2019), The Chinati Foundation, Marfa (2022) and, most recently, as Writer in Residence with Intoart and Flat Time House, London (2024).​​​
